Seasons Review at Experienced.tk
"Seasons is a must-have addition to a puzzle fanatic's game collection..."
There are loads and loads of puzzle games out there, and each one has it's own little charm.
Seasons is no exception to this and it's surprisingly hard to stop
playing once you start.
The idea behind Seasons is to get rows of 3 or more matching
tiles in order to make them vanish and score points. Seems simple, but you can only change a
tile to the next season (i.e. Winter becomes Spring becomes Summer becomes Autumn becomes... etc)
and you MUST make a line of 3 or more with that 'flip'.
At first it's a little hard to remember the symbols for the different
Seasons and might be a little frustrating for new players.
I know it took me a good few goes to remember the sequence. Once you've got that down, though,
you will find yourself making rows and chains like they're going out of fashion. Plus, if you
get stuck and can't see where to go next, simply click 'Get Hint' and let the computer move
for you. Be warned, though, using the hint means you won't score any points for that move.
Seasons offers two modes of play. Firstly, you have
Action Mode that pits your puzzling skills against the clock and you need to make a
legal flip before the timer runs out. If you manage that, the time bar gets replenished,
but when it's empty, it's game over.
Puzzle Mode hasn't got all the pressure of Action Mode, and all you need to do is score
the highest possible score you can. This is where the addictiveness comes into play.
Since you haven't got a time limit, you can sit and plan out your moves to get the highest score
possible. It isn't too uncommon to spend a few hours on Puzzle Mode in one sitting.
Graphically and sound-wise, the game is colourful and the music, although repetitive, is
memorable enough for you to be humming it for quite some time after you've finished playing it.
The graphics are simple and vibrant and fit well with the feel of the game itself.
Seasons is a must-have addition to a puzzle fanatic's game collection
and definitely one for those of you looking for a change. You can either
download a free demo from
Sugar Games' website, to
purchase a full copy.
Either way, there's no excuse to miss out on an incredibly addictive puzzler.
Get it now and get playing!
